Sorry if this is the wrong area for asking this but. ive been looking at all this stuff here about activating windows 7 with loaders, bios mods, and the removeWAT thing. its making my head spin. i would just like to know a few things before i dive into this and screw something up. the WAT thing looks pretty solid. what exactly does it do? is there anything specific i need to work that or can i do a clean install and run it. if i run the WAT thing i saw it passes WGA. do i have to download one of those alternative automatic update things or will auto update work. if i post my bios to be modded and it gets modded and i flash it. what do i need along with that? what does the loader do and does it need special tweaking to work on different machines? --EDIT-- i just saw this Chew-WGA. is it any good? again sorry if i posted in the wrong area and sorry for pestering you all with my questions. thanks a alot for all your help
Everyone should get up to speed, and choose for themselves. So they know what they're using in the first place. Daz's loader is very good, but so is RemoveWAT. If RemoveWAT turns out to be to sofisticated for brendmar, then it's best he figures that out for himself.
i did read the repository but i guess i need to again. its not too sophisticated for me just all the stuff here has gotten me confused. ive never done anything like this before and just wanted some direction. my main thing is updates. if i use the loader/removeWAT can i get them. and whats your guy's take on chew-WGA
Which is understandable. That's why a restriction policy has been applied on loaders/act*vators, because of the main confusion ppl got from the diversity. Don't know that much about chew-wga as I've never played around with it, but I do know it has been removed, because of this policy. Updates ? Yes you can have them all, without a hitch Advise : take your time to read up on the different ways to activate your Win7, and choose which fits your needs. Sincerely EDIT : chew-wga is still available, just not on MDL anymore.
i re-read the repository. im gonna start with a loader and see how that goes. if things go awry ill try WAT. thanks

That is true. Nobody says it's not. But still, just let him work it out. Best way to learn something new
like your sig says one who teaches self has fool for master i installed the loader and it worked verry smoothly ill keep the WAT on hand just in case though.
