    Update:
    I purchased a ARECA ARC-1200 for 9$.
Drivers and tools work just fine using Windows Server 2019.

    Update 5/2022:
There are now drivers for Windows 11 and it works with Server 2022 as well.

Heya, I have an old HP Pavillion here and I would like to try a Hardware RAID with it. (just experimenting)

    -AMD A8-3820 4 Cores / 4 Threads
    -6GB RAM
    -Mainboard p6-2233eg
    -Chipset AMD A55 (Hudson-D2)

I read about this matter with various results on various hardware, in specific combinations.
But ya, this will just end up as another experiment.

I was hoping for another AMD guy here, already having tested "old AMD desktops PCs with RAID controllers"

Using Windows Server 2019 and/or Windows 10 as OS.
(Allready installed and tested without RAID)

As I can see, Fujitsu, Adaptec or even hp controllers (p440) go for around 10$.

But Drivers for the hp p400 can only be found for Windows Server 2012 and up to 2016.
(so I guess 2019 should work just fine, but you never know)

While some LSI cards only offer drivers for Win XP and Win 7.

I wasnt able to find drivers for the Fujitsu one. Or only 2003 and 2008 drivers.

10$ wont kill me, so I would start off with a Fujitsu and the hp p440 Controller.
