  2. I also face same issue just after snappy driver installer tried to install bluetooth driver on my laptop cuz i disabled deviceuserflow service offline.
after i tried not touching any service on offline image it went all smoothly & flawlessly.

thanks for reminding me of my mistakes i did in year 2018 with win10 offline image :p

If you don't have a Restore Copy, you probably won't fix it in any other way, You can try and waster time, but usually everything ends with new clean Windows install.
It will most likely help, but before doing that you need to know what caused this problem. And, of course, the reason of the problem must be eliminated, removed or repaired before reinstalling Windows.
Typically, the cause is either one well known a biped or a bit damaged hard drive.

  5. Dont touch any windows services if you dont know how to manage windows services either on offline image or on current installed os. then cross check issue will be resolved.

I had face issues with BCD missing too.. Part of UEFI or EFI partition (FAT32) Well, I learn long way to get back up-running, I had do DOS command shell and do by Diskpart, selecting right disk 0 is normally find it, then select correct volume mount where UEFI or EFI paritition and I assign the drive then reformat the EFI partition, and recreated BCD copy from last know saved from Windows directory.. IT Works.. Now what I see that you need a Bootable USB or DVD, gp to Reair computer (before installation part) then click that, then go to DOS command, then see if you can access where your xx: drive area where Windows folder and rest of files, then go back to X: drive then type CHKDSK C: /F then give a time then next step is SFC /SCANNOW see any issues related.. IF lucky get to boot normal then you made back into, Some of the case the hard drive may failing data corruption, or Bad sections.. Depending what are using SSD or Hard - Drive? Good luck to get work around.

I have worked with windows services a lot on online systems/ images.

I know that MSMG tool / DISM have been used for offline image manipulation. Question is how can I used them or similar to analyze and fix existing offline Win 10.

Then what cross check issue will be resolved how?

    ....\sources\install.wim\{Your Windows variant}\Windows\System32\drivers\Wdf01000.sys
    {Your Windows variant} = Home, Pro, etc
but this file changes after installing updates, etc
it is worth remembering that this file will change after the updates are installed. The files with the same name are different, so you need to know exactly which version of Windows you currently have installed. There are several files on the computer with the same name but completely different ones, ie they cannot be replaced by name.
for example mine is 1.31.19041.1566, size 818 kB

Thanks will try to do this - would it work with a simple copy command from Admin CMD? Or will it require some kind of permission/ ownership drama at the target end.

If the problem is to boot an unbootable PC you aren't going to be piky abut the file version.

In 99.99% of cases he version does not matter, the file works, sometimes even if coming from a different Windows release.

Once your PC boots you can do an in place upgrade and have everything coherent.
