My son computer has a problem the the folder Properties is not working (when choosing it by right click the mouse), I don't know if it is a virus but Malware-byte didn't solve the problem. BTW, he has a repeated voice message stating that his computer is infected and he needs to call a no to solve it, I know those are scammed but I don't know if it is related to the Folders Properties Problem. No clue, although I don't think so. However you should definitely work on getting rid of the virus before attempting to fix your system...
I had a few problems with the edge browser seemed it got hijacked on a couple of sites I installed crap cleaner and that took care of that it cleans out the browsers cache and cookies and I'm also using malware bytes anti malware between the two things seem to be good !
