Hey, I've been trying for a few days now to force install a Dell Dimension XPS Gen 2 BIOS A05+ to my Dell XPS Gen 1 system, and I've run the .exe package installers with the /forceit and /forcetype flags. They don't error out, but it doesnt actually do anything it seems, it says applying bios update then just boots like normal (this is from boot disk or boot usb). Anyone have any suggestions or can anyone help me out, I have some new components and the old A03 BIOS won't support them, but the A05+ bios' do. Thanks, -lilyakka
Anyone have any suggestions, I'm still a bit new to all of this BIOS modding. I'm sure what I want to do is possible, but I haven't found the right tool set or instructions for it. I'm looking to mod a Dell BIOS from a system generation above mine and force install that modded BIOS to my system. I'm looking to do this to enable my mobo support for P4 EE chips. If not a Dell BIOS than stock Pheonix or Intel. Thanks
