    If you want to force GPU acceleration in IE9 with a legacy GPU. Please check the vendor id and device id of your GPU in device manager. And then use the registry editor to edit the following key value

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Mic*rosoft\Internet Explorer\GPU

    and modify the keys in the right panel.

    "DeviceId"->from 0 to the deviceID of your GPU

    "VendorId"->from 0 to the vendorID of your GPU

    "SoftwareFallback"->from 1 to 0 < very important

    Also change the "Wow64DeviceId" "Wow64VendorId" "SoftwareFallback to 0

    incrased on speedreading from 3 fps to 28 fps
