Has anyone figured this out yet? The old registry tweak for the dev preview with my 1280x800 display doesn't seem to work anymore. :(

I was wondering the same thing. I also tried a utility that did it for you on the DP and it doesn't work in the CP. I'm in the same situation. My ASUS EP121 is 1280x800 as well.

I'm having the same problem. I have the same resolution as you do. Any solutions?

I hope someone finds a way to make it work :( otherwise this will make our lives difficult (unless we buy other monitors) :)

Hey, I found a way to make this work on my laptop. Basically, what I did is I found out the creator of my graphics card (Nvidaa), and went on their site. I downloaded the top-of-the-line, latest Graphics driver from them. I right-clicked on my desktop, and pressed the Nvidaa control panel. Soon, I went into the tab where the resolution options are, pressed advanced, chose "Chose custom resolution," and put in the required resolution needed for this feature to work (1300 something). The feature immediately worked.

I'm using a Dell Vostro with Nvidaa, but your computer might have a different graphics card-maker. Try to get on their website, and follow my steps for whichever your graphics card may be
I hope you guys fix it =]

I use a freeware named "AllSnap 1.50 beta" for this task (snapping windows) and it works (almost) fine under Windows 8 CP 64 bits.

    That is useless for us.
We are talking about Metro apps here.
