force the focus in the win 8.1 explorer to the directories frame

    Hey,i trying to find out how i can force the the focus in the win 8.1 file manager to frame where are the files and folder listed, because when i try to quick select some files/folder with typing the first letter, everytime starts a search with these letters. Or is it possible to disable the search in the file manager to solve my problem?

    In the Folder options, do you have the correct radiobox ticked?
