Hello all, I have Win7 with Office 2010 with a office mak. I would like to do a reformat and fresh install. Problem is that my mak key is all used up and I won't be able to use same key after the reformat. How would I do a backup of my mak key, save it to a usb flash drive and reinstall it after the reformat? What files do I need? I read through the forums, there are some posts on this and I read through codyqx4 toolkit threads. The posts that I read mention doing a backup of certain files, but do not mention reinstalling the mak after a reformat. Could anyone please tell me if they have done a format and reinstalled the original mak? And was it successfull?
I downloaded the ezactivator and read through the instructions. It says that the backup information is "machine and install specific, so it usually won't work after a reformat and definitely won't work on different hardware" I don't like the "usually won't work after a reformat" part... Any other suggesions?
That is correct, the backup tools as of now has yet to be working on reinstalls of windows. They will work if you have to reinstall office on the same computer but reinstall windows and the backup is no good. It has something to do with OSPPSVC from what I have seen with the development of a possible hack. I have been working closely with Smorgan(Remember him?) and another guy named Exidous(IDK if he is here) on a project to backup/hack Office 2010 on W i n 7 v i s t a . c o m. I am not sure how close it is but I know from reading that Exidous is working on the hack and it is going well so far. I would suggest what timesurfer said, use either his IORRT script or use something like CODYQX4's toolkit which uses the KMS Emulator to activation Office 2010. You can also go this route and reinstall windows and office and then use your MAK key but do phone activation. That way is annoying but the techs at MS will be able to get you back activated, just tell them that you had to reinstall about a 100 times since you got your key and that you have only installed it on 1 computer. Don't forget sam Cody has his own rearm concept in his toolkit which uses intelligent thinking to facilitate usage of all rearms as can now his toolkit detect how many rearms are left in office
I think the rearm concept is better in the case of office for these reasons...lol That is why I mentioned his rearm concept written in C# which I think has two tasks, a backup and his .exe It plays out the rearms more and only restores if all rearms are gone which is done by his rearm status checking like is on toolkit also 1. Won't get flagged by AV ever as virus or trojan or malware 2. Works consitently whereas KMS is sometimes hit or miss 3. Has dual "Hybrid" task action to restore/rearm daily silently as well as restore/rearm at boot so chances of rearm concept being out of notifications is much higher than KMS 4. Won't EVER de-activate 5. Isn't reliant on Keygen "emulator" 6. Doesn't require firewall access 7. Get's same appearance and usage as if activated 8. No services needed 9. Doesn't require network access 10. Doesn't freak out people cause they think you gave them virus These are the reasons I pursued the rearm concept for office because with torrents I had i got tired of same user problems/questions over and over
