Foxconn A55MX Ram upgrade speed problems.

    Hi all, I have a little problem with the new ram I have brought for my mobo. The problem is that the speed of new ram is 1866 but it is only running at 1366. Now I checked the bios and there is no where to change the speed of ram what so ever. Could my bios be locked? as I brought the little tower as a whole for a little htpc from ebuyer.

    Would removing the cmos battery reset the bios perhaps? or if any one has any other ideas would be very welcome. Thanks.

    Do you have more than 1 stick in your mobo. If so is the other stick rated at 1366?
    Check that you have been sent the right ram
    Which ram did you buy

    Hi bp1, the ram is [h=1]Crucial BLT2CP4G3D1869DT1TX0CEU Tactical 8GB Kit (4GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR3-1866 PC3-14900 Memory Module. Both the same speeds for sure.[/h]

    also check for XMP memory profile.. that used to do the trick for me on some mobos.
