Freeze on Dr Watson Postmortem Debugger

    I would suggest the hijack this website..they are the experts with the tool, and are there for that reason..

    Which folders and what do you mean by "freeze"

    You are using Windows Defender and AVG 9. My suggestion is to remove one of those.

    Folders that I have downloaded movies, audio, apps. to which I have used for some time and know the contents are alright. If I open the folder I can use the contents for about 5 seconds then the 'Dr Watson' message appears and I cannot click anything in the folder at all including close the folder. Only way I can get out is by Ctl'Alt'Del and it says the program is not responding, so I end it so get out.

    Anyone any suggestions would be great

    Using AVG but not windows defender as AVG just kept turning it off - ps thanks to you both for replies :)

    You are welcome. My suggestion is to do what NotaClue wrote and make it sure that only one AV is present in the system.
