Thanks, but I'll pass, I'm not going to download everytime a full pack if I already have the old updates installed. Could you just update your other thread please with the new ones?
As much as i've heard some + and - to these updates. Im waiting till they are offically on windows update.
Isn't this wierd? Windows 7 is not on the shelves yet, but there are numerous updates (about 300MB for each 32&64bit). Does that mean the RTM we dl ed from MSDN or TECHNET was not the final compile? I am confused!!
This is perfectly normal .Updates and fixes are continiously being developed. Its just a matter of releasing them for download.Since Win7 is not officially available to everyone(GA) the updates are not being released.Once GA date(22 Oct) arrives these will be released.Or atleast most of them. When it comes to tools such as RSAT,OPK,WAIK etc they are already updated to be compatible and available for download anyway The same thing happened before Vista launch
Kb958830 doesn't really count, its not an update per se. Its the Remote Server Administration Tools, something most people would find not useful and it will always be a separate download (on Windows 7 at least). Including it would also mean including the XP and virtualisation stuff, which in itself is over 500mb! I think with those updates in the list as a base (minus kb958830), any new updates should be listed separately for convenience. If several new ones become available then a pack is ok ...
Is there any update that downloads Windows Media Player (Windows Pro N Here ;o) It's not that important, but still want it ;o
I think you'll have to wait october for that. But why installing N if you wanted windows media player?
