Ok, last time I had windows 7 I had updates off , and now since its the weekend i think i should reinstall windows 7, and I heard that there is some updates that upgrade the system to win 10 and some win10 updates on windows7 so my question : What to do after fresh install to disable this and still have updates on ?

I used wsusoffilne updater and stopped dealing with WU for the most part. I also used grc.com's never10 for a while and it worked just fine. So did GWX_Control_Panel. Lots of choices. But we have upgraded our three Windows 7 computers to 10. I'm not worried about 10 spying as there are ways to essentially make it ineffective. As far as 10 itself ... meh. Same as our Linux boxes and our Mac's ... just another aggravating computer OS. It has its good and bad points just like all the rest.
