I want to add an SSD to a HDD in a friends computer that is already a little older. The identical Win 7 ulti will be installed on it.
Is it possible to leave the HDD unaltered in the computer, simply leave the original OS on it, and just change the boot order?
I realize that it has an OS and all the other software installed, which will have to be installed on the SSD also.

If not, is it possible to only remove OS (and software) on the HDD, and leave the rest there?
Or is it really necessary to wipe the HDD....

    Thank You

make a partition split in hdd.
move files to store to it..
clone OS hdd partition to SSD.
boot ssd unplugg hdd to test.
    delete hdd os partition.
expand the storage partition to take whole space of hdd.
