HI, I have two FullHD Dell Monitors. I installed Windows 10 on the CPU which one Monitor was connected and all went all, resolution was perfect. Today, I replace the monitor with the 2nd piece and now it shows 1024x768 instead of 1920x1080. Whats wrong ? I have even gone to device manager and display settings, update driver online. Dont know, why its happening.
May not be the same problem, I have a Dell monitor 1440x900 only. after upgrade to W10, my resolution changed to 1024x768 and can not change to anything else. I have to uninstall AMD video drivers and reinstall latest 15.7.1 to fix it.
I have no idea, I had AMD 15.7 driver prior to the upgrade but I have to uninstall 15.7 and install 15.7.1 for my video card to work. I also have sound problem, had Realtek R2.79 HD audio driver prior to the upgrade, had to uninstall it after W10 and let W10 install its own Realtek driver to work properly. I have also some minor problem with some minor programs but reinstalling them fixed the problem.
No, uninstall the package from control panel, program uninstall, then run the new installer. Do you have IGPU, or a GPU, and note what the driver version is, there maybe a newer version out.
Well it happened to my daughter's PC today after some W10 updates, she has 250GTS I think W10 updated the driver from 341.44 to 341.74 and her monitor an Acer 1916W lost its 1440x900 resolution, no longer available. W8.1 device manager has her monitor as Acer 1916W but now W10 has her monitor as a non PNP monitor. Tried going backto 341.44 but still no 1440x900. Looks like W10 screwed up the monitor driver or something. Will test it with a spare HD6450 to see if I have to upgrade her video card.
