Will the SLIC DUMP toolkit be able to read these BIOS .ROM files ?

I downloaded Andy's Award Tool and opened the *.f10 gigabyte bios file. I clicked "Verify" but didn't see anything mentioning SLIC.

Do you know how to check if it has SLIC 2.0 using this Award Tool?

NO Factory Gigabyte Bios have a SLIC. If it is an OEM or Laptop, maybe. The updates will not contain a slic..

You could likely use an ISA mod for these. SSv3 if that doesnt work.

I didn't know that. I thought newer motherboards will always have SLIC whether it's 2.0 or 2.1? Or does this only apply on Gigabyte motherboards? I have here a newly bought ASUS motherboard yesterday P5KPL-AM/PS (I haven't assembled it yet) - is there a high chance that this has SLIC 2.0 at least?

Nope..Maybe a latent table, but if it isnt in an asus system, no slic.

Off the shelf MBs do not have SLICs. ASUS may have a placeholder or incomplete slic.

This bios you have on your board has a slic in place, but also a lock. You need to unlock the slic to use it..
