I have modded a bios and preformed a SLIC mod with Andy's Phoenix/Dell EFI SLIC Tool then flashed in dos and all works well.

I then went through and re modded the image to customise the logo's and in the dump folder it has American megatrends logo's in it and now I'm a little confused but it is listed in Andy's tool as a efi inside bios.

I'm surprised it has AMI logo's in an Inside EFI bios image direct from gigabyte or is this trickery normal ?

Here is the link to the bios (sorry I cant post direct links as I'm under the 20 post threshold):
    Code:
    ://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList/BIOS/mb_bios_ga-990fxa-ud3_v.3.x_fdk.zip

the bios is made by ami.. the tool opens efi from many makers, not just phoenix or insyde.

Have you tried the changelogo tool found in the bios tools section.
UEFI bios' basically have two jpg's, a 1024x768 for legacy and a smaller jpg for uefi.
