Gaming on Windows 8 Developer Preview Build 8102

    I though i would start a new thread up just about this topic, Has any one tried any games on this build when i had it installed all i was getting was a black screen and i couldn't ctrl shift esc out of it made windows 8 hang.

    on x64 version for me don't work just Dirt2 and 3

    GTA IV, COD BO, MOH, Crysis 2, Shift 2 works just fine
    I even not installed them on 8, just runned executable from already installed on other system

    The only thing what I do was installing DirectX and C++ Redustributable packages from web-installer

    install your graphic card's driver and directx you'll fine :)

    I installed the newest drivers for my video card from Nvidia and both of the games i tried to play wouldn't start, I know people that are using ATI cards that games seem to work fine with any one using nvidia?

    How does GTA IV work? All GFWL games were broken for me on WDP

    my working Games list so far:

    Need for speed world
    Rift (occasional crash) Ran in Compat mode
    Deus Ex Human Revolution
    Need for Speed Hot Pursuit
    Hunted The Demons Forge
    Dragon Age 2
    F.E.A.R 3
    Darksiders

    Currently Testing other games will update my list.

    Also as for ATI Drivers somehow i managed to get 11.8 working too :)

    WTF the built-in chess titans is gone,now is something called checkm8 is uggly and has no option to modify the pieces...etc..:mad:

    If you're going to play games, why not play on Windows 7 instead?

    There are never Games in early builds of Windows, All the Apps are just samples.

    x64 w/Nvidia 280.26 driver working well with MW2,now back to my gnub tubing!:D
