    Yes, I recognized your username at Demonoid, and knew it was you that posted that torrent for Windows 7 Ultimate - 64 bit (Gateway Version). Thanks for doing that. That was great that you posted that torrent. Worked out nicely too. With the Acer SLP, SLIC 2.1 and Acer Certificate, all's legit for now.

    Would this bios update allow for the installation of an AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Thuban 2.7GHz Socket AM3 95W onto a Gateway DX4200-UB0001A?

    Appreciate the help.

    Essentially, the general question can be reduced to - do these bios-mods allow for the installation of any AM3 CPU within watt capacity or must the mod be updated to account for newer CPUs on an individual basis?

    I have the newer BIOS 7B3P091G that I dumped from my dx 4200, but not sure how to send it to you all. I'd REALLY like to install this cpu, if possible :

    AMD Athlon II X3 450 Rana 3.2 Ghz Socket AM3 95W- Is it possible with your modded bios? And I'd be glad to send my newer version

    BIOS along as I see in the thread that it is hard to find. I verified that Gateway still only has the older RS780 Bios for download. Thanks!

    Interesting, I'm running this same exact BIOS -- 7B3P091G. I've just upgraded my original Phenom CPU with an Athlon II X3 455 3.3GHz, but it's showing "Process unknown" in the BIOS and in Windows.

    Will the BIOS posted at the top of this thread work in this instance? If not, is there a way I can dump and mod my BIOS to get it to work?
