    Not seen this anywhere yet so I thought it might be useful to some.

    Get your "Games" folder back.

    Copy and paste the following into the target for a "New Shortcut" on the desktop.

    %SystemRoot%\explorer.exe /E,::{ED228FDF-9EA8-4870-83b1-96b02CFE0D52}

    Open the shortcut and pin to start menu.

    You now have a link to games from the desktop.

    Thanks so much for this. I hunted for ages for this solution. You are a star.

    I can't see why to use the complicated method when the easy one works better.

    1. Open an explorer window.
    2. Type into the address bar: "shell:games"
    3. Press enter.
    4. Grab the "games" box from the breadcrumb bar to you desktop, using your mouse.

    Games to Win8 Context Menu

    Thanks Digital! .. Was LQQKing today for a way to add a shortcut to games to Windows 8. I now have all my Games in one location running from the Context menu with the games icon! :biggrin:

    Wouldn't the best way be to add a folder and name it Games.{ED228FDF-9EA8-4870-83b1-96b02CFE0D52}

    I installed this successfully recently on one system but doing it on another system now, I have nothing in Games Explorer. I tested the games and they run fine, it's just they're not showing in GE for some reason.
