Rebates are great but sometimes you have to wait as long as 12 weeks or more to get it. If you do not follow everything exactly as they state to send in a rebate, you'll be disqualified

I live outside the US so rebates are hard for me to do. I just want to know if the specs and quality of the card are ok. Of if there are other models that are more interesting.

That nVidia 1080 is the top of the line card currently, can't get much better so it's also one of the most $$$expensive$$$ cards out there.
Today you can get an older 980 card for less, The 960 is under $150.

Agreed, the 1070 is a much better deal. One of the better ones would be the Zotac Amp Extreme. This will easily clock up to 2ghz by itself, and it much cheaper than a 1080.

Ummmmmmm, Afaik no games are currently running at 4k. Your computer might have the hardware to handle it,
but I don't think there have been any releases that have been actually made for 4k. (PC and console as well)
So you are just spending a ton of money for hardware that's just going to upscale anyway? Not to mention even
the 4k movies that are being sold aren't truly all 4k. Most of the sfx is done in 2k. So basically it's just the 3D television
fad all over again. They came out, some content was released, but most movies are not true 3d.
They're just the same film with some algorithm run on it so you get the appearance of characters in the front,
background in the back. Search for fake 3d and you'll find a list of what films were at least partially shot in 3d.
As far as the 4k I'm happy it's out. Gets you closer to the theater experience, but if I remember correctly UHD isn't true 4k.
So once again we have TV's that don't fit the two main theater aspect ratio's..
If you do spend the money, maybe grab a nice VR headset?
