I fully removed many Metro AppX's, but some shortcuts remain: - Connect - Microsoft Edge - Windows Security Those AppX's are gone, but their shortcuts remain. In previous versions of Windows 10, there was "TileDataLayer" directory in AppData\Local, from which an .EDB file could be deleted to reset the Start Menu shortcuts, but that directory and the file are absent from version 1903...
Why @kaljukass why. I really wonder why. Why you always have to answer, and btw you are usually the first one, to reply with consistent stupidity. Have you read someone's signature around here lately? Now you weird man, he said he fully removed many or all Metro Apps. Now you @kaljukass read the title, what it says? If you @kaljukass don't get it then you are very "consistent" in the worst thing in the world. OR, or, or the other possibility is that you need English lessons asap... /geez!
I see your meaningless comments in many forums. Everywhere you are the smartest of all. Maybe You can stop posting such insane and pointless comments. Everywhere the people asks you to stop such a comments and for ever. Why don't you do that?
Don't you want connect? Uninstall connect (package Microsoft-PPIProjection-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.18362.1) Don't you want edge? Uninstall Edge (package Microsoft-Windows-Internet-Browser-Package~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~10.0.18362.1) Don't you want Windows Security? I recommend not to touch on Windows Security.
No, I use better 3rd party apps. As I said, those items are already gone. Only Start Menu shortcuts remain...
But you used very bad way (not an official CBS uninstallation) to remove applications. If you uninstall packages (official CBS uninstallation), the Start shortcut is also removed = best way. Do what you want. I advised the best way (Note: PPIProjection and Edge are packages with mum. SecHealthUI is package without mum, therefore I recommend not to touch it)
It is possible... BUT as far as i know you need to remove appx and optional packages from the wimfile so they dont get installed(using dism.exe). To remove edge you can rename some directories in windows\systemapps to have them to go away... Not for everyone to do this.... Dono if i should post my own scripts doing this...
Why not? We post scripts here all the time. It's not your fault if your script is used incorrectly and somebody breaks something. Go ahead and post your scripts.
I've learned some of my most useful code by somebody posting "This code can break stuff." I studied it, played with it, and formed it into what I need to to the job.
