    Hello,

I have learned that there are drivers called Ghost drivers which they are stored each time you insert something in usb port

and people say deleting these drivers will help to make your PC faster.

Is that right and can someone tell more about these drivers ?

You can view all devices and their associated drivers from the Device Manager. Choose "View" then "Show hidden devices". A right click on a given device will yield driver info.

I checked out your link, but found no reference to "Ghost" anything. Nirsoft is a rather common provider; when you say "Ghost" the reference is unclear.

"Clicking "Show hidden devices" will only show some of the hidden devices. "Ghost devices" still won't show up--that's why they're called ghost devices.

You have to add an entry to the Environmental Variables in Advanced System Settings. Then many ghost devices will show up when you click on "Show hidden devices." There's a good tutorial over on sevenforums on how to do this. I don't have 20 posts yet, so I can't post the link. Just google "Device Manager : Hidden Devices Windows 7 Help Forums"

    Do you mean the

    SET DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1

    command?

Stop hovering to collapse... Click to collapse... Hover to expand... Click to expand...
