Gigabyte GA-73VM-s2 / VISTA will not activate

    I have tried every softmod I could find, The ones via bootmgr hang the boot sequence to an endless loop. Gets to boot loader and the restarts. Reinstall Vista/SP1 and try another. Nothing seems to work with this motherboard.

    Tried this everest program to look for the slic table and under motherboard/ACPI/ there is only the rssd no slic.

    Is there a way around this or is this motherboard only going to run XP?

    I pretty comfortable with building these and setting them up but have not done any BIOS work.

    Have you tried Visla Loader 2.1.2 , or even newer 3.0 ?
    There has been some reports that some of the boards that hang on boot with Visa Loader, have been succesifuly activated using Paradox.

    Wonder if there is a bios mod for this board with an Award bios?
