I have already successfully modded 9 PCs (all gigabyte boards)
all bios were award ver:6 and all modded perfectly using the SSV3 method.
Also all the bios mods I look at here so far for gigabyte also use SSV3.
however I am biulding a new PC for a freind and fitted a new Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H, While I am waiting for the last few parts to arrive I decided to download updated drivers and sort out the bios mod in advance.
set up the same as usual same slic ,slp cert as used on others prepared ready .but during bios modding (same settings ) I got the error (unable to perform an SSV3 mod as there is no EPA module.) I switched to SSV1 and the bios mod has successfully completed and verified .but why did the usual SSV3 not work .the bios version and type are exactly the same as another board I recently modded using SSV3 (GA-785GMT-USB3)
can anyone explain this ,and should my mod using ssv1 work .
    thanks .

Or try SSV3 with ACPITBL at end in advanced.
