Which PC manufacturers use Gigabyte motherboards? I ask so that I know which slic/cert/key may be safer to use, or do I use Gigabyte slic/cert? My pc is a desktop, looked on Gigabyte site & they only seem to build laptops & servers themselves.
Packard Bell is Acer now, I have a Packard Bell @work it holds Acer 2.1 SLIC and uses same key and certificate as Acer systems do
So if I "bought" a Packard Bell or Acer pc with Gigabyte mobo, would the slic & cert be Gigabyte or ones from the pc manufacturer?
My suggestion would be 2 stick to the manufacturer slic and cert .. (We've had an instance where a guy wth dell slic bombed while a GBT slic passed) otherwise it's just a guessing game...
As do most major PC Manufacturers. I have seen both Gigabyte and Acer SLIC used on Packard Bell PC's. I have also seen them use MSI SLIC on their MSI MB PC's.
