i don't know what the deal is but i have all my dism tools and their location in my path and can completely mount and unmount from the cmdline, but gimagex will not mount .wim images at all for me can someone help me with this please????
you're wrong. wouldn't be asking otherwise. i can mount wims no problem--just not with gimagex, waik can be used in xp and beyond. imagex and dism will mount just fine. now for some real help...
Okay so that is one question answered. Anything in the log file? Can you try using gimagex on another Windows Xp installation? Ill make a XP vm and attempt it there.
GImageX is a graphical user interface for the ImageX tool ImageX on XP? Good luck, carry on regardless...
Any comments on what it wouldn't work sebus? Like maybe for some reason gImagex wouldn't work with XP? Seems it runs on OP's picture but isn't doing what it should. Imagex works for him. I have XP install in VM and will test here evnetually but I am tired.
for the last time--imagex and dism work FLAWLESSLY IN XP. why can't y'all understand that??? i'm sorry but MOST OF YOU ARE NOT READING THE THREAD. if I had a problem with imagex or dism i would have said so. obviously i have the driver installed or i wouldn't be able to mount images with imagex, which i clearly can just like i can with dism. THERE IS NO PROBLEM WITH IMAGEX OR DISM. gimagex is the problem... geesh.
Spoon fed and served on a silver platter isn't always available, what can I say.. It seems pretty obvious nobody else wants to help you, up to this point at least. Maybe they know something those who have tried to help don't know about you? anyway, this isn't getting anywhere this way. Good luck with your problem
