Good lord lenovo!

    So I got a lenovo laptop with win 8 on it. In my foolishness I put 7 on it and wiped the partitons. Now I want to go back to 8.

    I am under the impression that if I get a copy of win 8 pro x 64 it will install and the key will automatically be detected. Lenovo wants $89 bucks for a new image disk...WTF?

    Do I have it right? A clean MICROSOFT Windows 8 RTM Final PROFESSIONAL x64 English DVD ISO should do the trick and if so anyone know where i can get one all the links here seem to be dead.

    Never mind I got my hands on one.

    I think you didn't got the point why coleoptere2007 points to that thread. for me coleoptere2007 has already gave the right way. :)

    Yes at this stage he can't preserve anything but coleoptere2007 still pointed to right direction & thread...

    Of course this is not the complete solution, but as the key is fixed in bios, I believed there was a way to create an iso for a complete reinstall.

    But my bad if I pointed to the wrong way :(
