    Hello Friends,

I live in India. I basically use my system for downloading movies, software, videos and songs and my system is running round the clock. i occasionally switch off the system when i go out of town for 2 -3 days.

Currently i am running on a 430 watt SMPS (Intex make). Sometimes i feel that system is getting slow down and when i restart the system if feels good but again in 6-7 hours i have to shut down the system and restart it again. so i asked one of my friends who is having good knowledge of computer hardware and he suggested to buy a good SMPS.

Then i have searched local shops and as well as Internet. People there at local shops had a limited knowledge and suggested me local brands which have good warranty but they don't satisfied me.

Then i have searched on the net. There are some good reviews and guides to buy SMPS on the internet. But from there i cannot make my choice that which SMPS is good for me.

Anyways i have selected one SMPS which i think is good and have a 80 Plus White Rating and don't cost much.

Corsair VS550 - Which cost INR 3500 (Approx)

I am having a system configuration as under.

Processor - Intel Dual Core 2nd Gen 2.7Ghz
    Motherboard - Asus P8H61
    Ram - G Skill 2 X 2 GB
    DVD RW - LG
    HDD - Seagate 3 X 2TB
    External HDD - Seagate 1TB USB 3.0
    Keyboard Mouse - Logitech USB

I am low on budget and i can spend upto INR 3500-4000.

Please suggest me good SMPS which can power my above hardware in a long run and run 24/7
and also for future upgrade it can support 6th Generation processor, H170 motherboard, 8GB DDR4 Ram & room for a graphics card may be GTX 960 or R9 270X.

    Thanks
    Amit

    Thanks for replying

The one you have mentioned is a costly one. Since I live in India. Here its not easy to get Seasonic PSU. The one you have mentioned is around 120 US Dollar (₹. 8000 India Rupee). i don't have that much budget.

Where i live corsair brand is ready available.

Can you suggest me some other which can fit my budget which is around 50-60 US Dollar or around 5000 Indian Rupee. I will ask locally for those brands which you mentioned above and also search online.

    Thanks again for helping me.

You should be able to find a 400-500watt range EVGA or a Corsair for that price range

You cannot go wrong with Seasonic or the upper Corsair models.

I have searched the market and here corsair VS450, corsair VS 550 & Cooler Master B600 V2 is available.

    Corsair VS450 - approx. 40 Dollars (Rs. 2600)
    Corsair VS550 - approx. 60 Dollars (Rs. 3650)
    Cooler Master B600 V2 - approx. 80 Dollar (Rs. 5200)

Can you suggest me from this as the one you have told me is out of my budget.

I have searched the efficiency of above CPU. they are all 80 Plus White certified not bronze.

with the specs you show, the 450watt would be more than sufficient. I am missing the graphics card being used though
