Hello all, I am doing a little survey to see which of these browsers the users of this forum prefer and why. Now I understand there are many other browsers that you guys could be using, but at the end of the day the people who know there are browsers beyond Internet Explorer usually choose either Firefox or Chrome for whatever reason, so I would just like to know your opinions of these two browsers. If you use both on your PC, please pick the one you who choose if you could only use one browser for the rest of your life.
Hello, i use Google & IE10. i prefere Google for addons . Before i use also Firefox but when you installe again it's a big job. esxcuse my English. not tranlator.
mozilla firefox. i have tried to switch to chrome many times but everytime i switched back to firefox within few hours.
I have to say Chrome. Was never a huge fan of Firefox. Chrome has always glided for me and never had a problem. Firefox has always been a ram hog.
Firefox because it works for me on so many levels -security -stability -memory usage -browsing speed -customization that's enough for now edit: 1st post it took me 3 years to make it see you in 2015 for the next hehe
+1 to FF Only reasons I would consider using chrome over FF are: +Chrome is slightly faster on benchmarks but in reality you don't really see a difference. And ionmonkey landing on FF nightlies making the speed gap even smaller. +Chrome automatic translator is handy if you end up digging some information from foreign forums/websites and works better than using google translator via other browsers. Of course its not perfect but sometimes you can guess the rest
I've tried chrome but I prefer FF. Just d/l'd FF 18 (I'm on the aurora channel), so far so good. A few plugins like Adblock Plus, Redirect Remover, and Download Status Bar, are all I need. Because this is an alpha release, Noia 4 doesn't work, yet. I always uninstall IE.
Have been using Chrome for years, switched to Firefox a few days ago. There is some cool add-ons for FF that does not exist for Chrome. When using a custom Windows 7 theme it will also work in Firefox, the title bar and close button etc. Chrome has been acting weird for me that last weeks. I wanted to sync extensions between 2 pc's but the extension did not show up on the other pc. The gmail checker plugin has been acting weid, showing me unread mails but when i read them it still shows it unless i exit chrome and reopen. I was annoyed by the fact that when i download something in Chrome i cant move it to desktop from the browser, it just copies it. In Firefox when you drag a file from download windows to desktop it moves it. I did not like the new Firefox UI but i found an add-on that makes it possible to make FF look like 3.6 in 1 click.
I agree that firefox has been better than chrome for me for the last two weeks, chrome has just been acting stupid, too many crashes on all versions of chrome, stable, beta, dev, chromium, firefox community technical support is far superior to chrome developer support, chrome developers seem like they really don't care to help chrome users at all, we always have to go through trial and error on our own
The crashes are nvidia fault, forceware and flash don't work well for some reason. Works perfectly fine on AMD and Intel graphics.
i have tested chrome on these combinations, same crap, firefox 16 and above never crash: amd+intel, nvidia+intel, amd+amd
Everyone has a problem with Chrome. I have never had a single issue with it considering i've been using it since it was beta released on Windows. s**t, I'm even on Dev channel and it auto updates all the time whenever a new build comes out and it only gets better and better.
Well Chrome is buggy with the pepper flash for me on Nvidia, but FireFox has huge issues, on both desktop and laptops it runs ok for a bit then it starts running up high cpu and mem usage.
Google FF or see IE10, all work well. always according to our moods & speed connections. 30 GA with me I'm cool ..... after according addons, preferred one or the other but we must always keep IE for some applications.: D
I don't know what is "Dev channel" but for me never had a problem with Chrome only once it was eating my cpu I toke a picture send it to support the next day everything was fine but other than Chrome I always keep IE for many reasons
