Thanks, I only use Ff. I checked and IE 8 is installed without add-ons.
It has been like that for the ten years that Win7 exists, and Google Earth has been working all that time without a problem.
In Ff the security.tls.version.max is set to default, value 4
In the IE I have activated tls1.1 and 1.2, Version 1.0 and 3.0 are also activated, I left it like that.
The result is the same. Installation will not work, the same two pop ups appear....

    Thank you....
I have written that the same software setup still works on another computer !

That failure to install and open also happens with the WRT....

Do you maybe have the DotNET4 Bypass from the BypassESU package enabled? It's known to f*ck up MSI and make some programs fail until removed.

    Thank you.
I installed bypass on this one in January...
How can I find out? and remove it?

Currently, it is recommended to activate DotNET Bypass only briefly, while actually installing the update.

The current and working version of the Bypass (v7) is from May. Previous ones did not include the DotNET4 Bypass at all (May had the first DotNET update inside the ESU cycle).

    Thanks,
    tried it, but no difference.
Only tries to open it a lot slower than before, but then the same pop ups appear

Weird thing is, it still works without any probelm on my fujitsu laptop.
The identical software, all installed from the same USB stick, was used there

I guess the world will not come to an end...

    Thanks again
