    Hi all,

we have just got our hands on a Google TV box for testing purposes but as we are in the UK, have no way to access content as it's only in the at present. We can obviously connect to US only sites through a vpn or proxy server, but how could we allow the google box to use that connection???

    Any ideas?

    Cheers

    V

you can setup your router to only use the vpn us server then plug the box into the router, most routers can be configured for vpn's

Hey, thanks for the reply. So it's possible to set up the router to only use the vpn server? Excuse my ignorance, but do I not need to use the uk connection to maintain the vpn...???

yeh totally, your router manual will tell you how, but its probably the best way to use a vpn as all pc's on the network can be protected and if the vpn drops your whole internet does so you stay protected, the uk connection will be used but the vpn will be forced like if you forced the vpn only through a firewall, you would be using the router as a kind of firewall..........

edit: VPN endpoint is the feature used, most modern routers support this.
