Just curious if anyone uses gorilla glass on their phones to prevent breaks, finger prints...etc? If yes, does it work good, how does it stick on, leave and marks on screen when u remove it and is it worth getting? thx
Doesn't prevent fingerprints, it's just tougher than normal glass to prevent scratches / breaks, but it is not bullet proof And you don't add it to your current device, the device has to come with the screen already made from gorilla glass
So can the gf's diamond rings lol When GG was first announced they showed it off by hammering nails into wood using a device with GG.... yea, not quite that strong
Managed to not scratch any phone screens ever by being careful and not putting them next to keys or money in pockets, and not dropping them, never use screen protectors or cases If you pay attention, screens are fairly safe, cases, screen protectors and GG etc are for the forgetful and clumsy
My Lumia 635 fell screen down off a shelf about 3.5 feet to the floor. Only problem was there were two wood screws on the floor that the heads were larger than the thickness of the rubber on the case. Now I've got two small chips in the GG
Gf scratched her old 520 with the stone in her ring and must have damaged the digitizer, the phone became self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time August 29th. In a panic, she tried to pull the battery, 520 fights back. Was opening random things, trying to dial numbers on it's own, moving tiles around the homescreen while you watched without touching it
Gorilla glass on phones are generally installed by smart phone manufacturers these are pretty useful as they protects your phone screen from several damages one can not remove it and it is absolutly worth getting you can not buy it seperately if you need gorilla glass then buy a phone that come with gorilla glass.
Here, it looks like you ran out, have a few of mine ",,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,," Even my eyes ran out of breath reading that.
I doubt whether the Lumia 520 and 635 (mentioned in this thread) have Gorilla Glass of any sort. Those are the bottom-of-the-barrel phones for the cheapskate.
OK, I stand corrected. I had no idea that was gorilla glass. Anyway, both 520 and 635 can be upgrade thru Insider, just too weak for the official support.
Gorilla Glass comes inbuilt with your smartphone scree. You cannot stick it remove it. It provides great protection to your mobile screen. Prevents your screen from getting scratches and damages due to minor drops. I think you are confusing it with tempered glass screen protectors.
Haha. I threw my iPhone 6 against the wall a few days ago. No, I don't normally to that, but the husband is an idiot and pissed me off. It did not bend or break. I've fixed at least a couple hundred iPhones over the years and now I'm putting a tempered glass on each one. I use Tech Armor, but I have found some good ones on eBay that aren't expensive. I tell everyone. If you have a good sturdy case and tempered glass, you should be ok.
