Hey all, Trying to understand a problem which I thought I would never run into. I rolled back to an old nVidia driver a week ago for my 780GTX. Out of the blue, WU gives me an update 2017!!! NVIDIA - Display - 10/27/2017 12:00:00 AM - 23.21.13.8813 I have group policy enabled not to offer driver updates through WU. Anyone have an idea why I get an old driver offered through WU especially with GPE enabled? Thanks for your suggestions.
Yep, I was running 385.69 for quite a while and had to do all this to stop M$ hijacking my preferred driver. Just another entry in the LONG list of reasons I f@#$ing hate Windows 10.
Wow man, Applied reg tweak and update installed anyways. What a nightmare. I can't even control my own Windows enterprise.
No driver, or any other update can install unless you allow it, with this. What's the catch you ask? Manual updating only with no notifications.
Thanks for the script. I'll check it out. I still say that you shouldn't have to jump loops on a business version of Windows. No driver install should mean,no driver install.
