no, you don't even have to install it, windows updates installs the dx12 version drivers for you as per told to you by the nvidia website.
Yeah, also don't install the win8.1 from the nvidia website, it will remove the windows 10 update functionality. At least it did here, didn't got any updates for my GTX 770 from win10 anymore, luckily someone uploaded the 349.65 drivers so I could install them manually and get the update function back.
I got all the drivers from windows update, I don't usually play newer games can't tell much but the only one I tested worked, Dying Light
Oh damn, I had no idea of the 349.65 drivers and/or WU doing that with the nvidia drivers, I'm using right now Build 10041 and 347.88 WHQL for 8.1 x64. Can anyone please, post a download link for the 349.65? Thanks in advance.
They just released a new driver 349.90. Yeah you've got the same problem like the one I had lolindirfab. You've installed the win8.1 drivers which removes the update functionality through win10 updates.
