    Hi everybody!

I hope I’m posting in the right section. I was considering buying a GTX970 soon and I was wondering if my Lynnfield system (i7 870) won’t be a bottleneck for the card. My setup is quite old so maybe it will need some overclocking, not sure. Will it be enough or should I settle for a lesser model? GTX 760 maybe?

    Any help is appreciated.

I was worried about the single thread performance of my CPU, since apparently a lot of games rely on that but a little overclock will do the trick. I heard PCIe 2.0 has enough bandwidth for any graphic card currently on the market so no bottleneck there either.

It seems that GTX970 is going in my cart. Thanks for the help guys!
