Hack to enable RDP in Win7 HP

    i don't get it

    what's this for? i can already remote dektop into my windows 7 machine from other machines. what does this patch do?

    allows one local console & multiple simultaneous rdpcli conections like terminal server does,,,,,

    This is mainly for Home premium as it does not allow you to remote desktop in.

    you only need to add a firewall rule to allow RDP to Home Premium. (I think)

    the hack is mainly for HTPC users that want to manage the HTPC while watching TV, without the hack the user watching TV gets logged out when a RDP user loggs in.

    netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Remote Desktop (TCP-In)" program=System profile=public,private,domain dir=in localport=3389 protocol=tcp action=allow description="Inbound rule for the Remote Desktop service to allow RDP traffic. [TCP 3389]"

    Installed hack...it almost works...getting Open file error

    I installed this on my Windows 7 RTM 64 bit and got no errors during the install.

    When I try to connect to the host from another Win 7 pc, it begins to connect but then I get:

    OPEN FILE ERROR

    and then my remote client closes with no luck.

    Can anyone please help me with this problem. My install log is below.
