hangs @ %

    Hello
    tried to update from 8.1 to 10041 using windows insider update option, preliminary w 8.1 update was successful, downloading the 2,3 gigs too, install started and stopped @ about 30 % without any error message: simply stopped progression... any idea ?
    can the AV interfere ?

    Before upgrading any OS, disable the AV! That's in my opinion mandatory!

    Had you try to restart those installation?

    AV can interfere within the upgrade process, better is doing a full clean installation :)

    it finally worked when Bitdefender fwall was disabled, took two and a half hours, I cleaned the leftovers such as *.old, *.bt etc and it runs fine, all progs, hardware etc ok
