I have a hitachi hard disk of 1gb which makes sound like grindling. My all data has already been backed up on another hard disk. Still i am worrying about its failure. Is it possible to have any software to resolve this issue.

Hgts software not detecting this drive but wd software detect and report smart ok.

Is motherboard defective or has defect such that cause hdd defective.

    Still one question is unanswered

Is Mother Board liable to cause hard disk defective.

Because one 500GB was damaged and this one was not connected to the computer.

I find it very difficult to occur.

    Motherboard shorted "burning" all.

    You used hddexpert? :D

In one Single Day First I have lost 500GB Seagate and then Second Drive which barely get power and / or Signal Connected for more than 10 Hours during its life start sound. and that makes me doubt on motherboard. Well Thanks for your valuable opinions. I Believe my quires are solved.

can it be because of a virus or failures in connection corde between remote hdd and motherboard?

or it may be a product flaw...
