Recently i made my own computer, it has an ASUS P5QL-E motherboard with an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0GHz and 3.25GB of RAM. But in actual is has 4096MB of RAM (2, 2GB RAM). Why does it say this? Was i shortchanged? And am i making full use of my RAMS? I installed using windows and now its is fully updated to SP3.

Windows 32 bit Operating system only supports 2 GB of RAM. If you want to use your full 4 GB of RAM you need to use an windows operating system which is 64 bit like "KENTOY" have mentioned. But if your planning to use Windows 7 you still cannot use the 4 GB of RAM because it is 32 bit only.
