Hardware SLIC Bios Hack and SP1 safe?

    From what i've been reading, it seems that the software hacks are having problems but not the people who modified their bios.


    Can we use this thread to give a clear definition on any problems that might arise.. thanks


    For the record I have Vista Ultimate x64 on an Asus M2N-32SLi Deluxe, with the hacked bios with "ASUS" or whatever as the SLIC, and the certs and keys are all "asus" ones.. just to be safe.

    I think I saw in another thread someone had an Intel board who used the Asus SLIC and was having problems.

    Dear Viscera!

    I have also a Asus MoBo and a hacked Asus Bios!
    I have downloaded and installed SP1 from the Microsoft Site.

    All genuine und still activated!

    what's up with a mobo branded other than ASUS with an ASUS slic bios mod ?

    Installed SP1 with a "hard" BIOS SLIC mod. No problems here, passed WGA.

    I have a m2n-sli deluxe and I'm hesitating to install SP1 cos' I don't know if it's going to work or not.

    Installing SP1 worked fine on my GA-EP35-DS3R with Dell SLIC. Windows remains activated.

    DREXL --Can you point me to the location of that bios?? Known working AND Dell is a big plus for me. Many thanks
