First, let me thank everyone here for the marvolous help you give. I have already successfully written two bios's but am having trouble with this one.

I downloaded "HP_Pavilion_dv9730us_Entertainment_Notebook_PC_for_Notebooks_with_AMD_Processors_Microsoft_Windows-Vista-Based_HP-F.32_sp42853.exe-HP_-SLIC21_HP_SLP" for a DV9920US, which uses the F32 bios. The file given by HP is SP42853 so it seems to be the right bios.

The problem is, the downloaded file has two bios bins, 30CFF32A_SLIC.WPH and 30CFF32B_SLIC.WPH, both are 1073K. The "original" bios downloaded from here is 30CFF32A.WPH and 30CFF32.WPH. But the write program looks for "bios.wph" which is 1073 bytes.

Do I rename one of the 30CFF32X_SLIC.WPH files to bios.wph? If so, which one? Or is there something else?

    Help will be appreciated.

I dont know bout this cuz I mods bios by my self but seem that it had the different size, r u sure u've download the right ones? Most of the modded bios renamed becuz it's had slics in it, so u can change n remove _slic in the file for example 30cff32a_slic.wph rename to 30cff32a.wph so it will recognize in ur batch flashing programs (check the batch command with notepad, if they called *_slic.* so dont rename it cuz it allready to use anyway)

That was what I did on a previous bios, specifically, for a C60-419WM. I changed the name to bios.wph. But this archive has two files, 30cff32a_slic.wph and 30cff32b_slic.wph. Which one do I use?

krdu, were you able to figure out which one to use? I'm in the same situation, right now. :)
