HDD not using full amount

    I purchased a new Western Digital 1 TB hard drive and I can't get rid of some hidden partition. It is only allowing me to use 931.5 Gb of the drive. I ran diskpart "clean" on the drive and still can't get 1 TB.

    I have paid for more than I can use :(

    Is there any way to format so the full amount can be used?

    931GB is normal for 1TB, see Binary vs Decimal

    That's right, it's normal. Nothing happenned to your hard drive ;)
