I have a Helios 300 N171C Predator Laptop with a 256GB SSD card as the Main Windows 10 Operating System which is locked as a Read Only device. This caused Windows from Booting properly. I add a 128GB Windows 10 Pro Operating system as a 2nd drive and changed the boot sequence to select this as the first boot drive.
Windows 10 Pro now boots from the 128GB SSD card as Drive "C". The original 256GB SSD now shows as Drive "D". I have tried to change the Drive D attributes from read only to write so I can reformat it.
Nothing works when I try to reformat the D drive, its still locked as Read Only.
Can you help me to reformat this drive so I can use it as a second drive and write on it?
    Thanks.

  2. Tried with diskpart during Windows Setup?
    Code:
    diskpart

    list disk
    select disk *256GB*
    clean

Disport didn't work even though it said the attributes were changed from the Read status

What condition is it in? Some SSDs lock themselves into a permanent readonly state when EOL.
