First of all it would be very nice to have at least a sample of the error-messages you get. That you have error-messages doesn't mean we automaticaly know which error you have with "windows script host". You might think that error-message are only there to anoy you but they almost evertime have at least a faint hint in them that might suggest which error orcoured. Without such earthshuttering details we could only relay your question to our cristalls balls or ask psycics which you could do yourselve.

Question 2: Have you "cleaned" your system with a tool such as CCleaner or simmilar? They can produce such error-messages by "cleaning" your system. Revert the changes!!

Question 3: What have you canged on your system before you got this error-messages?

Question 4: Have you already googled the error-messages?

Have you tried some cleaning or defragment? Ahmmm. It's best if you let us know the error messages

    Here's a few suggestions...

    1) run taskmgr.exe and startup tab like FaiKee recommended. Remove programs that you don't want to run at startup (apple updater, java updater, etc)
    2) run a system file check. Admin prompt then "SFC /SCANNOW"
    3) repair your winsxs. In windows 8 you can do this with a simple admin command:
    "dism /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup"

If there's an outdated kb file mucking things up, the sxs cleanup might help, though it's likely not the culprit. The culprit is likely a startup program or a service you disabled somehow...

I wouldn't describe it as "errors", windows is just doing what it is scheduled to do. Many people didn't realize that whenever they install a application, it would try to make itself launched on startup and run in the background, and especially bad are the numerous crapwares that even try to hi-jack your OS regular operations and browser performances. :p
