First contact with a PC was in '96 but in '02 i bought one for myself and asked a friend (not such a great ideea-he was not a computer geek as he claimed to be) to came and install a copy of windows (2000) and from then i was trying to autodidact my self, learn as much i can of how OS works, hardware/software related problems/troubleshooting, various software, little bit of programing and here i am still learning and looking for answers. So, i'm glad to be here and i hope i can contribute as well to be able to find solutions to possible problems and answers to my questions.
Welcome to MDL @cryogent: I did the -exact- same thing. Only, it was with a home-built 8080 based computer system running CP/M But that was more years ago than I care to remember. Have a wonderful time here.
