help acer installing winxp pro black screen

    information:
    cpu type: intel atom cpu n280 @ 1.66ghz
    hdd model: toshiba MK1652GSK
    system bios version : v1.05
    main :
    total memory :1024mb
    video memory : 8mb
    quick boot : enabled
    network boot : enabled
    f12 boot menu : enabled
    D2D recovery : disabled
    sata mode : ide

    i boot from usb using flashboot + window xp pro installer from mdl
    the problem here :
    enter install window
    select disk c: size 149.0 device : partition 0:1 type primary* (fat-32)
    warning: all data on non-removaable disk
    drive c: will be lost! please confirm!
    proceed with format (yes/no)? enter yes
    win98? default BPB *fat1* 38152 sector/fat, 512 root size. fat32 forced.
    disk size: 149 gbyte,fat32. ***
    please enter volume label (max. 11 chars): i enter
    then next screen please wait setup copies file to hard disk and black screen

    anyone know how to solve this ?? :confused:

    Hello,

    Winxp is old system.

    1 - Burn the iso on a cd and format.

    2 - Do not use Fat. Use NTFS.

    Note: Make sure that your motherboard has support for XP

    used wintobootusb successfully install to my pc,but same problem to acer black screen at copies file

    acer model no: ...?
    sha1 of the source: ...
    etc...


    Have you checked the internal hdd? maybe has some "bads".

    Always use NTFS as fat, Fat can only handle files that are 4gb and less. NTFS has added security etc...


    Have you tried pressing F8 upon startup and going into safe mode?
