Burn ISO of any windows XP here, and just install it. You need to go to bios and set boot device to cd/dvd. also there is usually an option to set boot order at startup. just before the bios initializes..I think maybe F11 or similar. Installing from USB is a crapshoot and I do not recommend it. I think a retail cd is best for you at this point. do not extract the ISO, just burn as is and install. I dont think no one wants to help..I think they do not understand the problem completely. There is no reason you cannot install XP on this machine. whether you find drivers for the hardware to work properly is another question. I am unsure at what stage you lose understanding...
dudugaga Well i know for a fact that you can install windows XP on anything above 386DX so you should have no problem's installing windows XP on your system.. First off make sure your bios is set to boot from CD drive " to enter bios page press ether F10 , F8 ,Del on boot up"depending what computer system you have. WARNING improper setting's in bios will make the system unbootable check your motherbored manufacture bios b4 altering bios setting's then install windows via cd It seems as though you dont actually know what you are doing in the post's I would suggest getting a friend to do this for you if they are computer savy- not to be meaning impolite! On another note don't use a USB XP install there are some site's out there that say you can boot from USB " DON'T DO IT" for a start windows XP was not intended for usb install It don't support this feature.. windows 7 dose. get a ISO image of windows xp If you are downloading an ISO from the internet check the hash with microsoft's MSDN site to make sure you have a legit copy " well as legit as possible"
I am doing all correct. Putting first boot from CD-ROM changeing in bios SATA mode from AHCI to IDE AFTER THIS STEPS MY LAPTOP IS JUT NOT WORKING AND THATS IT. I can see only black screen can type nothing can not even restart with CTRL ALT DEL I dont know what is the problem here and I have 5 xp cd's so nothing is working as the problem before bootimg from CD.
dudugaga! It's isn't wonder. For the AcerAspire 5732Z machine has no XP support (look just the acer website) , no drivers available. I think so, that this machine contains a hardware, what with the XP unmanagable. This is the future.
Sounds like you are booting it using a non geniune boot file. Im guessing you slipstreamed it and made it bootable. I got windows xp 64 bit to boot and install on my computer, but there are no working drivers for booth wifi and your "video card" if you can call it that. (embedded graphics) Anyways, here is a guide to both slipstream your installation and to make it bootable using the proper boot file have fun. http : // www . maximumpc . com / article / How-To--Slipstream-your-XP-installation (remove spaces)
That has absolutely nothing to do with the fact he cannot boot from cd he should still be able to install XP, problem is either hardware, cd not bootable or he may need to integrate sata drivers.
