    Hi,

This is my first post here, have been a reader for a while but am now totally lost and confused and would like a bit of help.

Currently have WIN7PRO installed and activated VIA some KMS server on the interweb somewhere, forget which one it is. I am however wanting to reinstall as I am juggling my hard drives around this week and want to activate my WIN7ULTIMATE with a more permanent solution than the 180 day's that KMS gives, rather not have to keep repeating that procedure although it's not mega difficult.

I have been reading up on the SLIC/SLP BIOS thing but I must have just got into this really late in the day as most of it goes over my technically limited head, however from what I can gather it is the preferred method of activation and I am not averse to flashing my BIOS. I have an ASUS P5QL-PRO motherboard with 1001 revision BIOS AFAIK, from what I can gather I need 3 things to activate WIN7ULTIMATE using the SLIC method (modded bios, slpkey, certificate), if somebody could be gentle and point those out I would be very grateful:

    1) What BIOS do I require?
    2) Which SLPKEY do I require?
    3) Which certificate do I require?

And also perhaps a simple procedure on what to do after BIOS is flashed.

I realise this is really n00by sounding but I would rather a pro tell me what to do than me muddle my way through it and break something I can't replace.

    Many thanks.

    @ NoJuan999

Thanks for your patience, used that opatool to install certificate and key after I had flashed BIOS, now permanantly activated. Will know what to do when I reinstall, many thanks.
