Hello MDL community! I have found you site by chance as I have bought a Dell E6410 laptop with broken screen from e-bay. I have replaced the screen and now can't get past the Security lockout on the system. When ever I turn it on it asks for a password to be able to boot up or access BIOS setup. E-seller unable to help - office clearance deal, Dell unwilling to help as i have no documentation... I have tried to generate a code from : Bios-pw{dot}org - with no success, the code generated does not work. I have downloaded a few BIOS update exe's and extracted the HDR files from them but I can't get the laptop to update from USB sticks (tried 4 different ones) Laptop starts up with pressing END but just sits there - have left each one to run for 10min but nothing, with stick in different ports with different files... Anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?? Thank you in advance
